I. Preparation before upgrading
      1. USB flash drive (USB 2.0, file system format FAT32);
      2. switch system software file;
      3. console cable;
      4. switch (Dell S5224F-ON switch), computer.
II. Precautions
      1. To avoid damaging the device, do not interrupt the power supply of the switch during the software update.
      2. Before updating the software, make sure that the downloaded software version supports the switch model to be upgraded, the software download page usually has the system software description information.
III. Upgrade Steps
      1. Put the upgrade file into the USB flash disk
      - Store the switch system software file in the USB flash disk.
      - Insert the USB flash disk into the USB port of the switch.
      - Make sure the name of the system software file stored on the USB flash drive is bin file.
      2. In privileged mode, use the image download filepath/filename command to download the system software from the USB flash drive (the system software file name is PKGS_OS10-Enterprise-10.5.5.9.247buster-installer-x86_64.bin, for example).
      OS10# image download usb://PKGS_OS10-Enterprise-10.5.5.9.247buster-installer-x86_64.bin //Download the system software from USB to the switch.
      You can use the "dir image" command to view the downloaded system software.

      3. In privileged mode, use the "image install file-url" command to install the system software in the standby partition, where filename is the name of the system software file downloaded by the image download command in step 2.
      Note: OS10 has two partitions: Partition A, i.e., Active, is in the active state, which is the current running version; Partition B, i.e., standby, is kept in the standby state, which is also the partition for installing software upgrades.

      4. Change the next boot partition to a standby partition.
      OS10# boot system standby //corresponding to the active partition and standby partition mentioned in the previous step, choose the standby partition here.
      5. Perform a reboot of the switch to verify the current settings.
      OS10# reload //Use the command to reboot the switch.
      6. Use the show version command to verify that the system software version is the one that has been upgraded.
      OS10# show version //View the switch running startup system software.
