1. Switch unboxing
Equipment packaging printed with araknis logo and equipment model number, description (box directly printed product model number is still relatively rare, common is to post a label to reflect the model).

Equipment out of the box contains a host (built-in power supply), accessories including a package of screws, angle iron, non-slip pads, user manuals, power cord.

The front panel of Araknis AN-310-SW-R-8-PoE Switch is an LED interface status indicator panel; the back panel mainly contains 8 100M/1G RJ45 PoE ports, 2 1G SFP ports, an AC power access hole, and another reset button.

2. Switch System
Access to the power cord to power on the device, start without obvious noise; the front and back panels of the device have interface status indicators, users can easily view the link work.

Connect PC and switch with network cable, default management IP: 192.168.20.254, default account/password: araknis/araknis, log in WEB management interface; the login interface directly displays the model of the device, and it is assumed that the default management IPs of the different models of the brand are different.

Use Moduletek Limited SFP-GE-LX optical module to access Araknis AN-310-SW-R-8-PoE switch, access the patch cord, the module can be normal LINK, the port indicator light up; GUI interface STATUS->PORTS can view the interface status, rate, duplex mode, and send/receive data; no optical module identification and DDM data information display.

3. Switch Disassembly
Open the top cover of the switch, you can see that the whole is divided into three parts, one part is the PCB motherboard, which integrates various main chips, resistors, heat dissipation and other devices, one part is the LED control board, and the other part is the power supply board, with the fan hanging independently on one side.

Remove the heat sink and you can see the main switching chip of the switch, which is REALTEK's RTL8380M, a 10-port Gigabit wire-speed forwarding switch controller, supporting 8-port 10/100/1000M Ethernet PHY and 2-port SGMII/1000Base-X.
