Emulex LPe31000/LPe32000 Fibre Channel NICs Tested

Emulex Corporation is a U.S.-based enterprise-class server and storage provider focused on delivering converged networking solutions with products such as HBAs products, intelligent storage platforms, and storage products (switches, routers, bridges, I/O controllers), which are adopted and offered globally by a number of industry-leading server and storage OEMs. The company was founded in 1978 and is headquartered in California.

Moduletek Limited Labs purchased Emulex LPe31002-M6 and LPe32002-M2 Fibre Channel network adapters, i.e., NICs that can test the 4G/8G/16G/32G product line, and the following takes you through the test acceptance.

LPe31002-M6 NIC is a 16G dual-port Fibre Channel NIC with interfaces supporting 4G, 8G and 16G rates; LPe32002-M2 NIC is a 32G dual-port Fibre Channel NIC with interfaces supporting 8G, 16G and 32G rates.

Connect the LPe31002-M6 and LPe32002-M2 NICs to the DELL server, and check the information of the NICs recognized by the server under centos linux system.

Connect the LPe31002-M6 NIC to the Emulex AFBR-57F5MZ-ELX 16G SW Optical Module that comes with the NIC to check the interface rate and status;

Access the Emulex FTLF8532P4BCV-EM 32G SW optical module included with the LPe32002-M2 NIC to check the interface rate and status.
