Moduletek Limited Labs recently purchased a Seeks SKS7300-8GPY4XGS switch, which will be briefly disassembled and analyzed to show you its internal structure.

        The front panel of the device mainly has eight 2.5G RJ45 interfaces, four 10G SFP interfaces (only 10G is supported), an RJ45 serial port and indicators; the back panel mainly has power jacks, and the exhaust ports are on both sides.

        Use DB9 to RJ45 serial cable to connect to the switch through the host's serial port, baud rate: 9600, default account: admin, no password; access to the Moduletek 10G LR module can view the port status information, no module type identification.

        Open the top cover of the switch, you can see that the whole is divided into two parts, one part is the PCB motherboard, integrated with various chips, resistors, heat dissipation and other devices, and the other part is the power supply board. There are 4 transformers in parallel near the front panel of the switch, using GROUP-TEK's HST-48503SCR.

        Remove the fan and heatsink, you can see the switch main switch chip (REALTEK's RTL9302C) and memory chip (Samsung's K4B4G1646E-BCMA) underneath the fan; there are two PHY chips under the heatsink next to the transformer, and MAXLINEAR's 4-port 2.5G PHY is used.
