10G EML SFP product applications

EML module has TEC to realize the laser temperature regulation function, the use of external modulator, 10G EML module transmission distance up to 80KM, the following briefly introduces the three applications of the EML products and the 10G EML SFP series products of Moduletek Limited :
1. TDM module application
TDM products in the EML product line, including ER (40km) 1550nm and ZR (80km) 1550nm products, used for link fiber is longer (generally greater than 30km), and the fiber link differential loss of the larger scenes;

2. Application of CWDM module
CWDM module is usually used in conjunction with CWDM WDM, which can transmit multiple 10G services through two optical fibers (e.g., using ZR-CWDM module, it can transmit 8*10G services). 8 wavelengths are coupled into one optical fiber by WDM at the transmitter side, and 8 wavelengths are separated by demultiplexer at the receiver side, as shown in Figure 1:
CWDM module is usually used in conjunction with CWDM WDM, which can transmit multiple 10G services through two optical fibers (e.g., using ZR-CWDM module, it can transmit 8*10G services). 8 wavelengths are coupled into one optical fiber by WDM at the transmitter side, and 8 wavelengths are separated by demultiplexer at the receiver side, as shown in Figure 1:

CWDM module application can effectively improve the utilization rate of optical fiber, saving fiber resources and costs, due to the CWDM wavelength can not be amplified by EDFA (doped bait amplifier), all the transmission distance is limited.

3. Application of DWDM module
DWDM module is usually used together with DWDM WDM multiplexer to transmit through 2 optical fibers, using 100GHz DWDM module and WDM multiplexer can transmit up to 44*10G services.
The application of DWDM module can effectively improve the utilization rate of optical fiber, only need 1 pair (2) of optical fiber, can transmit 40*10G bandwidth, effectively save the optical fiber resources and costs. DWDM wavelength range of 1525 ~ 1565nm, can be amplified by EDFA (dopant amplifier), if coupled with the DCM (Dispersion Compensation Module) for the link fiber dispersion compensation, it can make the application of optical fiber link up to 100km, can be used in the field of optical fiber. The application of fiber optic link can reach more than 100km.

DWDM module is usually used together with DWDM WDM multiplexer to transmit through 2 optical fibers, using 100GHz DWDM module and WDM multiplexer can transmit up to 44*10G services.
