JUNIPER QFX Series Switch System Upgrade Guidelines

         JUNIPER switch Junos operating system, you can use USB or FTP two ways to install/upgrade, two ways corresponding to the installation package is not the same, using USB installation corresponding to the installation package for the image image, FTP installation corresponding to the installation package for the tgz compressed file.
        The following is a case study on how to upgrade the system software version of JUNIPER QFX series switches using FTP server:

      Note: The switch system software is downloaded from the directory: https://support.juniper.net/support/downloads;
      1. Set up the super user, set its password and access service type, and configure the em0 interface ip address.

      2. Log in to the FTP server client with the setup local account (the FTP software used this time is Tripper FTP).

      3. Select the local system file in the FTP server, right-click to upload, the system file will be sent to the specified location /var/tmp in the switch.

      4. After uploading, check whether the system files exist in the switch directory in the FTP server, and check whether the file size is correct to avoid incomplete uploading due to insufficient space.
      5. Add the installation package as the system software, the switch will decompress and install it automatically.

      6. Use the command to reboot the switch to complete the system upgrade.

      7. After the switch starts successfully, the upgrade is completed, check the version of system software running on the switch.
