TRENDNET TEG-30284 Switch dismantling

TRENDNET company is a network equipment manufacturer, the company develops and sells wired/wireless routers, network switches, fiber optic transceivers, wireless access points, and other products, to provide network security service solutions, network solutions and other services; the company was founded in 1988, the headquarters was set up in the United States in the Silicon Valley, and there are a number of branches in Europe and the United States.
In order to further understand the TRENDNET products, Moduletek Limited Laboratory purchased a TRENDNET TEG-30284 switch, followed by a simple disassembly analysis, to show you its internal structure.

The front panel of the device mainly has 24 GE RJ45 interfaces, 4 10G SFP interfaces, no serial ports; the back panel is mainly power jacks, air vents on both sides.

Using RJ45 twisted pair cable, connect the host computer with the switch, default ip:192.168.10.200, default account: admin, password: admin, login to the WEB management interface, you can view/configure the device.

Open the top cover of the switch, you can see that the whole is divided into three parts, one part is the PCB motherboard, which integrates all kinds of main chips, resistors, heat dissipation and other devices, one part is the LED control board, and the other part is the power supply board, with the fan hanging independently on one side.

Remove the two heatsinks, all the chips are displayed, you can see that under the heatsinks are the main switching chip and the PHY chip.
