Introduction and application Of SFP+ electrical interface module

      With the communication industry on the transmission rate as well as the signal quality requirements are getting higher and higher, the current 10G rate optical module has been more and more widely used in the market. However, we know that there is currently a product on the market: SFP + electrical interface module. The application of the product is less, so what are the advantages and disadvantages of SFP + Coppers module in the application?

      1. SFP + Coppers module applications and advantages and disadvantages
      The interface of the SFP+ electrical port module is consistent with that of the SFP+ optical module and the SFP+ high-speed cable. Compared with SFP+ optical module, the transmission distance of SFP+ electrical port is a little shorter, and the current transmission distance of ModuleTek's SFP+ electrical port is 30m, but since the electrical port is interconnected with the network cable, the construction cost of SFP+ electrical port is lower. Compared with SFP+ high-speed cable, SFP+ Coppers transmission distance is farther, wiring is more convenient, system construction is more flexible, but SFP+ high-speed cable cost is lower.
      2. Application of SFP+ Coppers module
      ModuleTek's SFP+ module can support 6 types of rate, they are 10M, 100M, 1000M, 2.5G, 5G and 10G. In different rate environments, the cables used are different, and the transmission distances are also different, as shown in the table below:

      There are two applications of SFP+ Coppers modules as follows. As in Figure 1, use the network cable to dock two SFP+ electrical port modules to two 10G optical port switches respectively.

      As in Figure 2, the SFP+ electrical port is inserted into the 10G optical switch, and the opposite end is connected to the 10M/100M/1000M/2.5G/5G/10G switch using a network cable.

      3. SFP+ Coppers module related certification
