10G Optical Module inventory

SFP+ optical modules are widely used in 10G Ethernet due to the advantages of small size, low cost and high density, and are the most common 10G optical modules in data centers and enterprise parks. Below is an inventory of all the types of 10G SFP+ optical modules and the differences between them.
10G SFP+ series optical modules include SR, LR, ER, ZR, BIDI, CWDM, DWDM, and electrical port modules, etc. The interface types are all LC duplex, which comply with IEEE802.3ae, SFF-8472 and SFF-8431 standards, and the specific descriptions of the modules are as follows:
1. 10G SFP+ SR Optical Module
The wavelength of 10G SFP+ SR optical module is 850nm, and the transmission distance can be up to 300m when used together with multimode fiber, which has the advantages of low cost, low power consumption and small size and high density.

2. 10G SFP+ LR Optical Module
The wavelength of 10G SFP+ LR optical module is 1310nm, and its transmission distance on single-mode fiber is up to 10km, and in fact, it can reach up to 20km, and it also has the advantages of miniaturization, low power consumption, and long transmission distance.
3. 10G SFP+ ER Optical Module
10G SFP+ ER optical module wavelength is 1550nm, and single-mode fiber when used together with the transmission distance of up to 40km, is a very cost-effective ultra-long distance optical module, data centers and enterprise parks are widely used.
4. 10G SFP+ ZR Optical Module
10G SFP+ ZR optical module wavelength is 1550nm, and single-mode fiber together with the transmission distance of up to 80km, in the metropolitan area network is very widely used.
5. 10G SFP+ BIDI Optical Module
BIDI optical module is a single-fiber bi-directional optical module, the use of WDM technology, you can reduce the amount of optical fiber used in network deployment, thus greatly reducing the deployment cost of the network.
6. 10G SFP+ CWDM Optical Module
10G SFP+ CWDM optical module is a coarse wavelength division multiplexing (CWDM) optical module, the transmission distance can reach up to 80km, the use of CWDM technology to save fiber resources, which can significantly improve the flexibility, economy and reliability of the network.
7. 10G SFP+ DWDM Optical Module
10G SFP+ DWDM optical module is a dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) optical module with a transmission distance of up to 80km, which is suitable for long-distance data transmission. This kind of optical module can maximally meet the demand of ultra-large capacity and ultra-long distance transmission, which provides a stable guarantee for multi-service operation and future network upgrade and expansion. It also supports various networking modes and wavelength scheduling between nodes, and has various advantages such as easy capacity expansion, flexible service access, high bandwidth utilization and high reliability.
8. 10G Coppers Module
10G electrical interface module is an encapsulated form of SFP + photoelectric conversion module, the interface type is RJ45, usually used together with super Category 6 or Category 7 network patch cords, the longest transmission distance is 80m, widely used in data center server rooms.
